Senior HR Operations Specialist

We are looking for a Senior HR Operations Specialist to support our team in Madrid! What you'll do:
  • Stay up to date with tax and labor laws in Central and Northern European countries, ensuring compliance and implementing necessary payroll changes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, client experts, and third-party providers to manage payroll operations effectively.
  • Oversee payroll processing, conduct audits, and ensure accuracy in payroll transactions.
  • Handle social contributions, liaise with local authorities, and manage compliance-related matters.
  • Support year-end payroll activities and proactively recommend process improvements.
  • Contribute to payroll system updates and ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees by setting up payroll in accordance with EU standards, ensuring compliance from day one.
  • What you need for this role:
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written) is a must.
  • 2-5 years of payroll experience, with strong knowledge of payroll calculations, tax regulations, and labor laws in Central and Northern European countries.
  • Experience handling tax declarations, healthcare contributions, pensions, and other statutory requirements.
  • Experience with Workday or other HRIS systems.
  • Familiarity with legal, social security, and tax regulations in other European countries is a plus.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, payroll providers, authorities, and internal teams.
