Temporary Sales Assistant
New York Public Radio is seeking a Temporary Sales Assistant to join our team, reporting to the Accounts Operations Manager in the Sponsorship Department. In this role, you will gain invaluable insight into the dynamic world of media across radio, digital display, and podcast platforms. You will play a key role in supporting our revenue-generating efforts, helping to drive our mission forward. Core Responsibilities: 
  • Assist in proposal submissions by building media plans and completing client RFP templates
  • Ensure seamless post-sale handoff to ad ops team
  • Generate mid-campaign, final reporting as well as wrap reports, as needed
  • Utilize prospecting tools to help identify new opportunities/clients
  • Assist with quarterly maintenance of sales collateral and audience data leveraging various research and measurement sources including but not limited to Nielsen, Google Analytics, Chartable
  • Assist special projects in support of the Sponsorship Team, including promotional events
  • Cultivate and navigate relationships externally with clients as well as within the organization to complete work assignments effectively

Qualifications: 
  • 1-2+ years experience in an office environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects 
  • Ability to collaborate with the team and various stakeholders and work in a fast- paced environment with tight deadlines 
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with both colleagues and clients
  • Customer service oriented with a basic understanding of sales principles 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
  • Ability to adapt to new and changing business applications and software
  • Proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Word required
  • Interest in multi-platform digital media including websites, social media and podcasts, a plus

Additional Information
This is a part-time (28 hours per week) 6-month role with an hourly rate of $32.9670.
This role is four days a week and will require in-person work two days a week. The candidate should live within a reasonable commuting distance of NYC.
 
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between New York Public Radio and SAG-AFTRA.
