Release Team Leader

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Release Team Leader to join our team in Warsaw. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on timelines and priorities while ensuring all platform releases meet legal, industry, and certification standards. Daily Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Production, QA, DevOps and other teams to align on timelines and priorities.
  • Support the team in understanding platform requirements, legal rules, and industry standards to make sure all releases follow the necessary compliance and certification guidelines.
  • Monitor daily activities, identify bottlenecks, and provide support to keep things running smoothly.
  • Support team growth through mentorship and career development opportunities.
  • Do performance reviews and regular 1:1s to ensure team well-being and engagement.
  • Ensure the team is properly staffed to meet project needs.
  • Drive improvements in workflows, automation, and documentation for greater efficiency.
  • Address team challenges, including workload distribution, morale, and conflict resolution.
  • Minimum of 5 years in software development, release management, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role, preferably in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience working with different gaming platforms: PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch.
  • Proven experience managing release cycles, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with Production, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong people management skills, including conducting performance reviews and 1:1 meetings.
  • Experience mentoring team members and supporting career development.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); Polish language is a plus.

Working mode

  • Relocation to Warsaw is required.
  • Office-First: working primarily from the Warsaw studio in a full time or hybrid mode.
