READ Foundation

We are READ Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing school places for children living in poverty who otherwise cannot afford to become educated. We have been implementing educational and welfare projects in the developing world since 1994. We started with just £200, one teacher, 25 children, and a desire to change the face of poverty forever with the steadfast belief that ‘education works.’ Today, we run almost 400 schools that together employ 5,207 teachers and educate 100,177 children, 8,760 of which are orphans.
