Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:

As an Architect Team Manager you will be responsible in leading a remote team of architects and designers, fostering collaboration and innovation. Responsibilities include designing and overseeing residential project while ensuring compliance with client needs, industry standards, and sustainability principles. The position requires coordinating with internal teams, clients, engineers, and contractors to bring concepts to life. It also involves reviewing and approving plans, mentoring team members, and staying updated on industry trends. Strong leadership and communication are key to driving project success and seamless collaboration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage a team of remote architects and designers.
  • Develop and oversee architectural designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand their needs and translate them into design solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
  • Review and approve architectural plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Mentor and guide team members to enhance their skills and professional growth.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure design integrity and quality.
  • Stay updated with the latest architectural trends, materials, and technologies.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and with external partners.

Requirements

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Licensed Architect with relevant certifications - Advantageous
  • Proven experience minimum of 13 to 15+ years in architectural design and project management with the last 5 years in a team leader role.
  • Experience in handling Residential projects.
  • Strong understanding of Irish building codes, regulations, and sustainability practices – Advantageous and they can provide a training.
  • Proficiency in architectural software such as Revit and AutoCAD is highly preferred, while SketchUp is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in other tools such as Microsoft Suite, Excel, and InDesign.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with excellent business level English; Ability to understand Irish accents.
  • Leadership and management skills to effectively lead a remote team.
  • Creative and innovative thinking to develop unique design solutions.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to address design challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactive, resourceful, and willing to go the extra mile under time pressure.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Irish time (5:00 PM to 2:00 AM Manila time)
