Your role As a Working Student - Mechanics at Munich Electrification, you will be part of the Mechanical Engineering team in the Hardware Development department. We are looking for a highly motivated student to support the development of mechanical parts from concept design to production release, including detailed design of parts and/or components. Your future tasks at a glance
  • Design of electromechanical parts and assemblies (CREO) as well as involvement in simulation tasks (ANSYS)
  • Improvements of mechanical team processes and its direct interfaces (industrialization, electronics, systems). Implementation in JIRA and PDM system - together with team manager and tech lead
  • Support and execution of engineering tests in coordination with the mechanical team
  • Carry out measurements and tests for concept validation
  • Evaluate and document test results
  • Support the mechanical team with building prototypes and test samples
  • What you bring with you
  • Bachelor or Master student in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, applied physics or similar
  • Interest in designing and simulating mechanical parts for HV-components
  • Basic understanding of CAD modelling (nice-to-have knowledge of CREO)
  • Basic understanding of thermal and mechanical simulations (nice-to-have knowledge of ANSYS
  • Hands on mentality, willingness to build and execute tests and experiments related to the project in our lab
  • Willing to take responsibility of a project
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for innovative solutions for electric vehicles or energy storage systems
  • Ability to work in a team & strong communication skills in English (German is a plus)
