What You'll Be Doing (Your Mission & Responsibilities):
Our mission is to pinpoint growth areas where modern software development technologies – with a strong focus on Mendix Low Code and advanced AI/GenAI capabilities – can seamlessly integrate with domain-specific software like Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Engineering, Simulation, and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) to increase value-add for our customers.
In this exciting role, you will:
Innovate & Research: Engage in research and ideation projects, exploring the potential of low-code, cloud, AI, GenAI, and agentic technologies, specifically tailored for manufacturing domains.
Build Proof of Concepts: Actively support the development of proof-of-concept solutions, combining the power of Low Code (Mendix) with GenAI.
Document & Share: Help document reference architectures, ensuring our innovative approaches are well-structured and easily understood.
Market & Business Insights: Conduct research into competitive landscapes and business opportunities, helping us stay ahead of the curve.
Data-Driven Analysis: Analyze our internal data (e.g., pipeline data in Salesforce, SAP data) to inform our business decisions. You'll use tools like Power BI to make sense of this information and validate new growth areas.
What You'll Bring (Your Profile):
We're looking for a proactive and analytical mind with a passion for technology and a desire to learn.
Current Student: You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Tech Enthusiasm: A strong interest in Low Code platforms (Mendix experience is a big plus!), Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI.
Manufacturing Interest: An eagerness to understand and contribute to the manufacturing industry.
Analytical Skills: You enjoy working with data, have an analytical mindset, and ideally, some experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Python for data analysis).
Software Familiarity (a plus): Basic understanding or curiosity about enterprise software like PLM, ERP (SAP), CRM (Salesforce), or other Siemens Xcelerator portfolio tools.
Communication Skills: Good communication skills in English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
Proactive & Independent: You are a self-starter, eager to learn, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
