ABOUT THE ROLE
This is your opportunity to get hands-on experience in an innovative startup and use the skills you have acquired at university.
As part of a small team, you will
help manage the day-to-day operations of Mindfuel while also participating in strategic tasks alongside your more senior colleagues. You’ll quickly take ownership of tasks and contribute to real impact within our growing team.
You will be involved in
accounting & financial planning, administrative tasks and office life, work with our CRM, and help
drive strategic initiatives like the introduction of new tools to increase efficiency.
We are looking for someone who has already gained
basic knowledge of finance & accounting and wants to put these skills to use while
pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
Ideally, you are
based in Munich (our office is in Schwabing) or
Regensburg (our Senior Finance & Operations Manager is based there) so we can work together in person. Mindfuel is a remote-friendly workplace, though, and some remote work is possible.
Since this is a working student role, you can work
up to 20 hours per week and should be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week on a regular basis. The exact schedule can be arranged to accommodate your other commitments.
What will be your responsibility
In this role, you’ll take ownership of a variety of tasks across accounting, reporting, business and office operations, gaining valuable hands-on experience in how a SaaS company runs behind the scenes. Key tasks include
Accounting
- Process incoming invoices and prepare invoices for our customers
- Assist with the preparation of monthly & annual reports
Reporting
- Collect data for our internal and external reporting
- Find ways to make our reports more reliable & efficient
Business & Office Operations
- Make sure the tools we use run smoothly
- Process incoming correspondence
- Support office operations where needed (e.g., ordering hardware or sending out Xmas gifts)
- Support the preparation of events where needed
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled at a German university and pursuing a degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Finance, or related)
- Attention to detail and a structured, reliable way of working
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Team spirit & willingness to support your colleagues
- Fluency in German and English
What we'll offer you
- Fair compensation and plenty of room to learn, experiment, and make an impact from day one
- Remote-friendly work culture and access to our cozy Munich backyard office
- Flexible working times that make it easy to combine your work with university life — plan your schedule around lectures, exams, or projects and work when it fits best.
- Learning from experienced professionals from day one
- Working in a high-growth environment where your ideas and input matter
- A team of highly motivated, kind, and inspiring colleagues
- A role in a growing SaaS company in the booming Data & AI space, joining at the ideal moment to make a lasting impact
Extra props for
- First practical experience (internship, student job, or project work)
- A natural team player who thrives in a collaborative, feedback-driven environment
- Strong Spikeball or Table Tennis skills (our signature Mindfuel games)
