What will you do?

As a Working Student within BA Wind, you will play an important role in supporting our mission to accelerate the transition towards fossil free energy. Your work will help ensure that our data is reliable and accessible, providing valuable insights that guide both daily operations and long-term strategic decisions across the business. You will focus on delivering accurate data checks, preparing regular reports and journals, and conducting financial controlling and actuals analysis. Success in this position means your colleagues can trust the information you provide, enabling them to make well-informed choices that drive continuous improvement.

Your main tasks and responsibilities include

  • Carrying out detailed data quality checks to guarantee accuracy in our reporting processes
  • Preparing regular operational reports and financial journals that support business transparency
  • Supporting FC/Act (Financial Controlling/Actuals) analysis by collecting, reviewing, and presenting relevant data for internal stakeholders
  • Collaborating with team members across different functions to ensure seamless information flow and knowledge sharing
  • Contributing to ongoing process improvements by identifying opportunities for more efficient or effective ways of working

You will interact closely with both technical experts and business teams, learning from their experience while also sharing your own insights. Your curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to engage with others will be key assets as we continue breaking new ground together.

Who are you

You bring a motivated, communicative and approachable personality, with an eagerness to contribute within an international team environment.

To thrive in this role, you combine strong analytical skills with attention to detail. You are comfortable interpreting complex financial data and enjoy problem solving qualities that help you understand business transactions from multiple perspectives. Your ability to work collaboratively is key, as you proactively share ideas and support colleagues across different functions.

  • Possess basic accounting knowledge: Important for understanding core principles underlying our reporting activities
  • Are familiar with Power BI or keen to develop their skills in it: Beneficial for creating insightful visualisations and reports
  • Communicate confidently in English, both verbally and in writing; German language skills are an advantage

You get energised when working on new challenges, learning from others, and making sense of complex datasets. You approach tasks openly, listen actively, and value diverse viewpoints. If you enjoy combining technical know-how with teamwork—and want to play a part in accelerating the energy transition at BA Wind—we look forward to hearing from you.

You will be based in Hamburg, Deutschland, with flexible working hours and a hybrid work model. A laptop will be provided, and the expected start date will approximately be April 2026.
