Your Contribution
As a Working Student in the Business Intelligence team at DISH, you will support departments by contributing to data insights that help in their daily work and enable data-driven decision-making. You will assist in the creation of automated systems for easy access to information and support data analyses across different business areas. Working closely with experienced team members, you will support ongoing data projects and gain hands-on experience in how data is transformed into meaningful insights for DISH's business process.
Menu of Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the Business Intelligence team in operational and analytical tasks and contribute to ongoing data projects:
- Support BI experts in preparing data-driven insights that help internal stakeholders in their daily business.
- Assist in ad-hoc analyses and contribute to customer behavior analyses by supporting the creation and maintenance of automated dashboards and reports.
- Support the team in translating analyses into clear and structured insights that can be used for data-driven decision-making.
- Help maintain and document analytical workflows and dashboards.
- Gain hands-on experience by working with real-world data and develop a broad understanding of data analytics in a business environment.
Ingredients for Success
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Economics, (Business) Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a comparable field of study.
- A strong interest in data analysis and statistical methods, supported by initial experience gained through studies, projects, or internships.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and a basic understanding of working with structured databases, including querying large data sets (e.g. BigQuery).
- Foundational reporting knowledge and first practical experience with BI or data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or Luca.
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in English.
