KULE is seeking a results-driven and enthusiastic Wholesale Manager to strategically lead and significantly grow our wholesale channel across key department stores, specialty boutiques, and e-commerce partners.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role requiring a strategic blend of relationship management, high-level sales planning, and flawless operational execution. You will be instrumental in expanding KULE's market share, driving profitable growth, and serving as a polished brand ambassador.
This role reports directly to the VP of Merchandising and Sales and is based in New York, NY.
What You’ll Do
I. Strategic Sales & Growth
- Strategy Development: Create and execute seasonal and annual sales strategies that directly support KULE’s topline revenue targets and margin expectations.
- Business Development: Proactively drive new business development by identifying and opening strategic accounts in key markets, including private-label opportunities.
- Performance Tracking: Own KPIs including revenue, sell-through rates, reorder activity, and overall account health.
- Seasonal Market: Present collections at market, managing all aspects of appointment scheduling, showroom organization, and effective product presentation.
II. Account Management & Financial Health
- Relationship Management: Maintain strong, long-term relationships with KULE’s existing wholesale partners to foster loyalty and growth.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and account performance to identify growth opportunities. Review weekly and seasonal selling to inform strategic reorders and ATS opportunities.
- Reporting: Provide actionable weekly business recaps and comprehensive seasonal post-mortems to senior leadership.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the financial health of accounts by overseeing invoicing, payment collection, and leading terms negotiations
III. Operational Ownership & Cross Functional Overview
- End-to-End Coordination: Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Production, Operations, and Finance to ensure clean flow from sell-in to ship-out, quickly resolving issues as they arise.
- Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity and consistency across all sales platforms (Joor, NuOrder, Shopify) and internal reporting tools.
- Process Management: Oversee PO entry, delivery coordination, EDI compliance, invoicing, and chargeback resolution in close partnership with the Operations team.
- Communication: Ensure accuracy, on-time delivery, and clean communication between internal teams and accounts.
IV. Brand Representation
- Serve as a polished, confident ambassador for KULE at all buyer-facing events, market weeks, and trunkshows.
- Develop and lead compelling product knowledge sessions and seasonal presentations for internal teams and buying partners.
What You Bring
- Experience: 4–6+ years of progressive wholesale experience in contemporary women’s or lifestyle apparel.
- Track Record: Demonstrated success in managing and driving profitable growth within department store and specialty boutique accounts.
- Analytical Skill: Proven analytical expertise and the ability to translate complex sales data and market insights into strategic business decisions.
- Communication: Excellent presentation and communication skills—both verbal (in-room sales) and written (email correspondence).
- Work Style: Exceptional level of organization and attention to detail; thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Technical Proficiency (Required): Advanced proficiency in EDI transmissions, Joor, NuOrder, Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs), and Google Suite.
- Technical Proficiency (Preferred): Familiarity with Shopify.
- Brand Alignment: A genuine enthusiasm for the KULE brand and point of view.
