Welder/Fitter - Aluminum/Stainless
1st shift : Monday - Friday 5am - 3pm - Occasional Saturdays required - Must be willing to work OT.

Pay Rate: $24-28/hr Depending on experience
Position Overview
This role involves fabricating, fitting, and welding aluminum, stainless steel, and other metals to produce handrails and miscellaneous metal components. The position requires strong TIG welding skills, blueprint interpretation, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced fabrication shop while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lay out, cut, fit, and weld handrails and miscellaneous metal components according to drawings and specifications.
Perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel, producing clean, structurally sound welds.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication.
Set up and operate fabrication equipment including saws, notchers, grinders, and hand tools.
Align and assemble components using jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools prior to welding.
Move and position materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead lifting equipment as needed.
Maintain productivity, quality, and safety expectations set by shop leadership.
Required Skills and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience TIG welding aluminum and stainless steel in a fabrication environment.
Ability to read blueprints and perform accurate layout using tape measures and hand tools.
Working knowledge of shop math, including fractions and basic geometry.
Ability to troubleshoot fit-up, layout, and welding issues with limited direction.
Comfortable working under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Familiarity with fabrication tools and metalworking equipment.
