WelbeHealth Intern

AI overview

The WelbeHealth Intern will lead impactful projects with executive-level exposure, gaining hands-on experience in a mission-driven healthcare organization focused on supporting vulnerable seniors.

WelbeHealth PACE helps seniors stay in their homes and communities by providing medical care and community-based services. We believe in going the extra mile and aim to make a genuine difference in our participants’ lives.

The WelbeHealth Intern, reporting to a manager in the business unit they will focus on impacting, will assume work that challenges and stretches them as they drive continuous improvement throughout WelbeHealth. Similarly to a consulting-style project, the WelbeHealth Intern will assume accountability and ownership for projects during the internship at the direction of a WelbeHealth leader. The internship assignment will focus on strategy and will have a wide variety of cross functional assignments designed to develop skills and experience aligned to the bachelors or master’s degree program at your accredited university.

During the internship assignment, you will assume accountability on projects:

  • Two (2) week onboarding to PACE and WelbeHealth; assignment of a “coach”
  • Defined project (or sub project) + team project + continual networking/program participation (e.g., observe Quarterly Business Review (QBR), operation meetings)
  • Career exploration and offboarding

This role is different because the WelbeHealth Intern:

  • Operates with real ownership and accountability, not as an observer - leading defined strategy or operational projects that directly impact the business and mission
  • Receives executive-level exposure and mentorship while working cross-functionally across clinical, operational, and business teams, gaining hands-on experience in a complex, regulated healthcare environment serving vulnerable seniors

We care about our team members. That’s why we offer:

  • Accrue one (1) hour of sick time hour per thirty (30) hours worked
  • 401K savings + match
  • And additional benefits!

On the day-to-day, you will:

  • Act as a visionary staying abreast of business trends and macroeconomic impacts to inform analysis and business strategies
  • Analyze and identify information sources, gather and interpret data, and perform data modeling and analysis to facilitate strategic decisions
  • Develop actionable recommendations and disseminate insights through strong communication skills and familiarity using a variety of data visualization techniques
  • Partner with teams across the organization to increase the impact of research, insights, and data
  • Work on projects that have real impact WelbeHealth through strategic project management
  • Develop your leadership skills through feedback and coaching from senior leaders, as well as executive and peer mentors

Job Requirements Include:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Strong interest in exploring a healthcare leadership career with a growth organization of outstanding leadership skills (no healthcare background required)
  • Excellent teamwork abilities and emotional intelligence
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with a high level of ambiguity
  • Strong analytical competencies with the ability to analyze short and long-term needs
  • Demonstrated high impact written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new software programs quickly; strong background in Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Strong presentation and preparation skills
  • Experience preparing files and maintaining records and documentation

We are seeking a WelbeHealth Intern currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree who is eager to gain hands-on experience in strategy and operations within a mission-driven healthcare organization. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a keen interest in business research, data analysis, and driving meaningful change in a complex environment. If you’re ready to take ownership of high-impact projects, collaborate cross-functionally, learn directly from senior leaders, and contribute to work that supports vulnerable seniors, we’d love to hear from you.
