AT A GLANCE

RVO Health is seeking a full time Weight Management Clinical Lead to be the primary provider-facing leader responsible for day-to-day management and performance coaching of clinical providers. This role ensures consistent delivery of care in alignment with approved clinical standards, supports provider development, and escalates governance-level decisions to the Senior Medical Director. Success is measured by provider reliability, clinical consistency, patient experience behaviors, and safe/efficient clinic operations.

What You’ll Do

In this exciting role, you will report directly to the Senior Medical Director and play a vital leadership role supporting our clinical providers, including physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs). You’ll enjoy a balanced schedule, spending half your time delivering clinical care (20 hours per week) and the other half driving leadership, quality, and operational excellence (20 hours per week).  You’ll lead the day-to-day coordination of provider workflows, schedules, and capacity, while ensuring documentation standards and service quality are consistently met. Your guidance will be key in providing real-time support to providers, helping to safeguard patient safety, enhance the patient experience, and keep our clinic running smoothly and efficiently. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Clinical Documentation & Protocol Standards:

  • Uphold and reinforce clinical standards, including the use of structured documentation templates and adherence to standardized clinical workflows and decision support tools
  • Ensure individual clinical judgment is exercised while maintaining consistent documentation and workflows across providers

Quality Monitoring & Chart Review:

  • Conduct proactive, data-informed, and continuous quality oversight
  • Perform routine chart and peer reviews to identify quality gaps, risk patterns, or deviations from standards of care
  • Escalate quality, safety, or compliance concerns in a timely manner
  • Minimum expectations: Address recurring issues with coaching and follow-up within 2 weeks; escalate safety events or high risk patterns to SR Medical Director same day when urgent or otherwise within 1 business day 

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular 1:1s with each provider (minimum monthly; more frequently for onboarding or performance support)
  • Own provider onboarding and standardization, ensuring adherence to approved workflows, documentation requirements, and patient communication standards
  • Provide real-time coaching and timely feedback; document encounters and report recurring patterns

Reporting & Clinical Insight:

  • Provide regular reports and clinical insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning
  • Utilize data to drive improvements in clinical care and operational efficiency

Targeted Workforce Development:

  • Assist in the recruitment of clinical staff
  • Lead structured onboarding and training specifically for weight loss providers, including training on obesity-medicine workflows and virtual communication etiquette

Clinical Supervision:

  • Provide direct oversight for virtual clinicians to ensure adherence to established protocols and standards of care
  • Serve as central escalation point for complex clinical cases and technical failures

Operational Optimization:

  • Assist clinical & operational management in coordination of daily medical service delivery, including managing scheduling, intake systems, and activities between referring and consulting physicians
  • Collaborate with practice manager to oversee clinical flow, staffing coordination, scheduling support, and problem-solving to ensure clinical throughput

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Utilization: Achieving a Practitioner Utilization Rate (PUR) of 70% to 85% at scale
  • Access: Maintaining average patient wait times of <15 minutes
  • Growth: Meeting specific census and program expansion targets for the weight loss service line
  • Experience: Maintaining a Net Promoter Score (NPS) above 80 and high staff satisfaction scores
  • Quality: Evaluated by case-level quality monitoring and the implementation of solutions for clinical trends
  • Engagement: Tracking immediate staff satisfaction scores and daily clinician engagement

30/60/90-day Focused Expectations

By 30 days:

  • Establish 1:1 cadence; publish provider expectations (documentation, workflows, communication norms)
  • Identify top 3 performance/consistency gaps and begin coaching plans

By 60 days:

  • Demonstrate measurable improvement in 1–2 agreed areas (documentation timeliness, protocol adherence, complaint theme reduction)
  • Standardize onboarding and “how we operate” provider guide

By 90 days:

  • Sustained consistency across providers; reliable escalation and documentation of patterns; clear partnership rhythm with Ops and SMD

What We’re Looking For

  • Advanced Practice Provider (NP, PA) with relevant certification and licensure
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, including leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, documentation standards, and quality assurance processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Starting Salary: $136,000 - $160,000
