ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Web Analytics Specialist is a technically focused, early-to-mid career role within Orchestra’s Strategic Insights and Analytics team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and usability of web data that powers client reporting, performance analysis, and strategic decision-making.

You’ll work hands-on with analytics platforms and tagging systems, supporting both client deliverables and internal teams with clean data, digestible dashboards, and thoughtful analysis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working close to the data, is curious about what metrics truly mean, and wants to grow their ability to translate technical findings into insights that non-technical partners can understand.

Role location: This role is available within one of our offices in Boston, MA, New York, N.Y. or Washington, D.C. on a hybrid basis. The team is in-office at least 3 days per week. We are also open to considering fully remote candidates based in the U.S., with a strong preference for Eastern Time.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As the Web Specialist, you will:

  • Manage analytics and tracking configurations: Maintain and support analytics implementations across client websites, ensuring high standards of data accuracy and consistency. This includes hands-on work in GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio, with exposure to additional platforms as needed
  • Support client reporting and dashboards: Build, maintain, and update dashboards and reports that clearly communicate performance trends and insights to internal teams and clients in an accessible, non-technical way
  • Assist with website and content audits: Provide reliable data inputs for website, content, and campaign audits, ensuring analysts and strategists have the information they need to make informed recommendations
  • Conduct audits and quality checks: Review existing analytics implementations to identify gaps, errors, or misconfigurations. Provide recommendations aligned with analytics best practices and assist with implementing improvements
  • Implement tracking recommendations: Execute updates to tracking configurations in GA4 and GTM, including event tracking, conversion setup, and interaction measurement aligned to client objectives
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and internal support: Respond to data requests from internal teams, helping support insights, presentations, and performance narratives with accurate analysis
  • Develop measurement plans: Assist in creating measurement plans that identify key site interactions and success metrics, helping clients understand how digital performance connects to marketing goals

Essential skills

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with web analytics tools, with demonstrated expertise in Google Analytics (GA4)
  • 2+ years of experience using a tag management system such as Google Tag Manager.
  • Experience building dashboards and reports in Looker Studio (Google Data Studio).
  • Strong interest in understanding what data does — and does not — tell us about user behavior and marketing performance
  • Comfort explaining analytics concepts to non-technical teammates and collaborators, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership over data quality and accuracy.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to grow technical and analytical skills over time.

Preferred skills

  • Basic experience with SQL, JavaScript, or other development technologies
  • Experience with social listening or market research tools (Talkwalker, Brandwatch, Sprout, Meltwater, etc.) and across multiple marketing channels (owned, social, paid)
  • Have exposure to BI or visualization tools such as Tableau, Domo, or similar platforms
  • Have an aptitude for leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency and drive quality deliverables
  • Enjoy automating repeatable tasks and improving workflows
  • Prior experience working in an agency environment
