Requirements

We are looking for a Web Application Firewall Engineer with hands-on experience managing and optimizing Akamai WAF solutions. This role will focus on protecting web applications, tuning security rules, and supporting global clients in English-speaking environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize Akamai WAF policies
• Monitor web traffic and investigate security threats and anomalies
• Tune rules to reduce false positives while maintaining strong security
• Collaborate with application, cloud, and security teams
• Support incident analysis related to web application attacks
• Document configurations, processes, and security findings in English

Requirements

• Experience working with Akamai WAF or Akamai security products
• Strong understanding of web security (OWASP Top 10)
• Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS, and CDN concepts
• Experience in cloud or DevSecOps environments
• Advanced English communication skills

Nice to Have

• Akamai certifications
• Experience with other WAF solutions (Cloudflare, F5, Imperva)
• Scripting or automation experience
