Water Resources Engineer

We help communities adapt to stormwater, flooding, and climate challenges through thoughtful, sustainable design. As a Water Resources Engineer, you’ll plan and deliver projects that restore natural systems, reduce risk, and strengthen community resilience.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and contribute to stormwater management, floodplain, and watershed projects from concept through construction.
• Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models using tools like HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and HydroCAD.
• Partner with planners, environmental scientists, and GIS professionals to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare reports, analyses, and permitting documentation with accuracy and insight.
• Mentor junior staff and review work for quality and completeness.
• Engage directly with clients and agencies, supporting project delivery and funding pursuits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in water resources, stormwater, or floodplain management.
• Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and ArcGIS; familiarity with Civil 3D preferred.
• PE license or active pursuit of licensure.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 per year

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
