The Team Members We're Looking For...

In this role, you will develop skills in warehouse operations related to both production and vendor products. This includes:

  • Working the main receiving dock and managing the final disposition of products.
  • Receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials.
  • Distribution of finished goods.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving, identifying, and verifying incoming materials from production and/or outside vendors, and storing them in appropriate locations according to specifications and department guidelines.
  • Distributing and/or storing items per department guidelines and specifications.
  • Accurately processing and maintaining all related documentation, both via PC and handwritten.
  • Utilizing appropriate material handling equipment to load and/or unload truckload carriers as per specifications.
  • Preparing orders for shipment according to instructions and specifications, including pallet labeling, consolidation, or stretch wrapping.
  • Maintaining inventory as per department guidelines.
  • Responding to all inter-company requests for materials and material counts, serving as a resource for team members and others in resolving related issues and problems.
  • As a member of a production support team, training, assisting, and supporting other team members in problem-solving and achieving department goals.
  • Continuously reviewing current processes and seeking improvement methods to enhance product/process quality, reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that does not add value.
  • Performing general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within the department/group and assisting other areas as required.
  • Assisting and supporting in other job functions within the process or other company processes within scope and ability, based on business needs.

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing basic math calculations, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Legible handwriting.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • The ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Good judgment and decision-making ability.
  • The ability to continuously stand and/or sit, stretch, reach, stoop, and bend.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Inventory Control systems databases and storage locator systems.
  • Demonstrated skill and safety in using material handling equipment such as Order Picker, Swing Reach, Fork Lift, Hand Trucks, Pallet Trucks, and Clamp Truck. Must be able to obtain a Material Handling License.
  • The ability to work at varying heights.
  • Must be safety-conscious and alert to safety hazards.
  • The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and occasionally 100 lbs. with mechanical assistance or the help of another employee. (Incumbent maneuvers up to 2000 lbs. using appropriate material handling equipment.)
