Warehouse Team Leader

Objective

The Warehouse Lead plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence within the warehouse team. As the operational leader, they inspire and motivate a group of warehouse operators to achieve peak performance while fostering a strong sense of teamwork. In addition to their leadership duties, the Warehouse Lead is hands-on, dedicating 80% of their time to performing key operational tasks and ensuring the smooth handling of goods. Administrative responsibilities also form an essential part of their role.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Operational leadership

• Lead, inspire, and develop the team by motivating, coaching, and guiding them to success.
• Oversee task distribution within the team to ensure efficiency and balance.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order throughout the warehouse.
• Adjust work schedules dynamically to meet fluctuating workloads.

Warehouse Operations

• Manage incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring smooth operations and proper handling.
• Supervise the process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock management every day.

Administration

• Validate and track the arrival and departure of trucks.
• Prepare, review, and sign off on CMRs and loading lists.
• Oversee daily work planning to ensure seamless operations.

Relationship Management

• Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers, customers, logistics partners, and other departments.

Requirements

• You have a forklift and/or reach truck certificate

Knowledge

• Knowledge of professional terminology in both Dutch and English to ensure smooth contacts with customers, suppliers (such as transport companies) and colleagues
• Knowledge of the WMS System
• Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Knowledge of administrative and logistics processes
