About Role:
Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and maintaining safety protocols, monitoring compliance with safety standards, and promoting a safety-first culture across warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across all warehouse areas.
Ensure compliance with all local and national safety regulations and company policies.
Investigate workplace accidents or incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain safety records, including incident reports, inspection logs, and training documentation.
Supervise and train employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and proper use of PPE.
Monitor the functionality and availability of all safety equipment (fire extinguishers, alarms, first aid kits, etc.).
Collaborate with other departments (security, operations, maintenance) to address safety risks.
Lead periodic safety drills (fire, evacuation, first aid) and ensure readiness for emergencies.
Report any safety violations or hazards to the Safety Manager and follow up on resolution.
Participate in risk assessments for new processes, equipment, or changes in layout.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Strong knowledge of occupational safety regulations and standards.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and training abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant certifications in safety or first aid are a plus.
