We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team in Spalding, Lincolnshire on a permanent basis. 

The Warehouse Manager will join our growing Operations team in Spalding, reporting to the Planning & Supply Chain Manager. In this role, you will have responsibility for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of all raw materials and finished goods, with a strong focus on perishable goods and maintaining cold chain and quality standards.  

To be successful, you’ll have proven leadership in a high-volume operational environment, and a comprehensive understanding of UK health and safety legislation is essential. This role will be based at our Spalding packhouse, onsite full time with the requirement to travel across our 3 main sites (Spalding, Birds Drove and Fresh Linc). 

Responsibilities  

• Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of all raw materials and finished goods. 

• Ensure efficient space utilisation and warehouse layout optimisation. 

• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, and coordinate with other teams for effective inventory management. 

• Enforce health and safety regulations, conduct safety audits and risk assessments, and provide staff training on safety procedures. 

• Lead, supervise, and motivate warehouse staff, including conducting performance evaluations and developing training programs. 

• Ensure raw materials and finished goods are inspected for quality upon receipt and prior to dispatch, and address quality issues promptly. 

• Collaborate with the Hygiene Manager to implement and monitor cleaning schedules and maintain hygiene standards. 

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, powered pallet trucks, and cold storage facilities, while maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the facility. 

Requirements

Experience we look for: 

Essential 

• Ability and willingness to travel between our three main sites (Birds Drove, Spalding and Fresh Linc).    

• Strong, up to date knowledge of health and safety regulations including an understanding and ability to implement safety protocols.  

• Proven experience in a warehouse leadership role within a high-volume, operational environment, ideally involving perishable goods or food logistics.  

• Demonstrated ability to manage stock control systems, conduct regular audits, and maintain accurate inventory records while upholding cold chain and quality standards.  

• Confident using warehouse management systems and digital tools, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimisation.  

• Effective communicator, capable of working collaboratively across multiple departments to align on operational plans and resolve issues.  

• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise workloads and ensure accuracy across inventory, reporting, and documentation.  

• Comfortable working across multiple locations as required, with a flexible and hands-on approach to daily operations.
