Warehouse Manager

€75.000 – €85.000 per year

TLDR

Lead warehouse operations and logistics to ensure high performance, optimal inventory flows, and continuous improvement in line with supply chain strategies.

Major scope of the position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of warehouse and logistics activities. This role ensures optimal inventory availability, efficient material flows, high delivery performance, and a safe work environment. The position is key in supporting the overall supply chain strategy and driving continuous improvements in cost, service, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations (inbound, outbound, storage, picking, quality).
  • Monitor and manage SLA performance, service levels, and KPIs (OTIF, inventory accuracy, productivity, cost).
  • Coordinate capacity planning and resource allocation, especially during peak periods.
Team Management
  • Lead and develop senior warehouse operators and warehouse operators (10 FTE).
  • Conduct coaching and performance conversations to build a high‑performance culture.
  • Ensure strong communication and clear role division across the warehouse.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
  • Initiate and execute LEAN, Kaizen, daily stand-up and 5S initiatives to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement improvement programs.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, routing, and equipment utilization.
Inventory Management & Systems
  • Own inventory accuracy, cycle-counting processes, and root-cause analyses.
  • Work with ERP, and reporting systems; support system enhancements and new implementations.
  • Responsible for continuity of production
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • First point of contact for other departments & ensure good cooperation
  • Partner with supply chain planning, transportation, production, customer service, and external logistics partners.
  • Align on volumes, capacity, service improvements, and cross-functional initiatives.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or similar field.
  • 7–10+ years of leadership experience in warehouse/logistics environments.
  • Experience in ERP systems (Business Central/Mircosoft is a plus).
  • Experience with automation/mechanization (e.g., conveyors, ASRS, AGVs) is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record in KPI management and performance improvement.
  • Strong leadership and coaching capabilities.
  • Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain principles.
  • Experience with LEAN, 5S, or other improvement methodologies.
  • Hands-on mentality combined with a strategic outlook.
  • Able to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and improvement-driven.
  • Strong people manager who builds and motivates teams.
  • Pragmatic problem-solver.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
