Warehouse Maintenance Technician 1st Shift

We are currently hiring a temporary Warehouse Maintenance Technician for 1st shift at our Romeoville, IL distribution center. The pay rate is $25-26/hour. This temporary position is anticipated to end 12/31/2025.

Hours - Monday through Friday, 1st Shift 6 am to 2:30 pm (may be slightly flexible) with opportunities for overtime.

• Performs warehouse site maintenance/facility-related repairs.
• Maintain electrical, mechanical, and air compress lines
• Maintain and repair equipment and facility using hand and power tools
• Maintaining powered industrial truck batteries 24, 36 VLT, and charging stations.
• Minor dock door repairs; rack assembly and plumbing repairs.
• Document findings/results of equipment and facility inspections, and propose corrective action
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Knowledge of occupational standards, safety, and hazardous precautions associated with various trades and construction areas
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, interest, decimals, and percentages
• Must be a self-starter and able to accomplish expected tasks under minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
• Ability to estimate materials necessary to complete assignments, plan and lay out projects, prioritize work, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and oversee assignments through project completion
• Ability to be certified on power industrial trucks, including floor scrubbers and scissor lifts
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours, squat, reach above shoulders, bend below waist, kneel
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
• Ability to communicate in English

Education/Experience:

• 5 years maintenance experience highly desired
• Accreditation from a technical school or skilled trades program is a plus.
• High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalency
