Warehouse Lead

TLDR

As a Warehouse Lead, you will oversee production, develop processes, and lead project installations with a focus on technical and organizational skills.

Work at Blissway: Opportunity for Impact Every Day 🚀✨

Blissway is a startup that simplifies toll collection and dramatically improves highway safety. We are multiple startups in one: Deep Tech, AI/ML, Hardware, SaaS, and IoT. For the past five years, we have built a nearly insurmountable technological lead in tolling—an under-the-radar industry that is bigger than football. While our competitors have thousands of employees, we operate with a lean but growing team of less than 30. We’ve stayed under the radar, but our impact is visible on the massive Interstate Highway System connecting every major US metro (except Juneau, AK—sorry, Juneau).

You are a good fit if...

  • You love the grind: You take ownership and put in the time to meet deadlines. Our recent team survey showed an average of 50 hours/week, but with high morale and sense of ownership.

  • You code really well: We mostly use Python and TypeScript, but we don’t care what you’re most proficient in today—as long as you learn fast.

  • You are detail obsessed: You have experience writing code that stands up to the unpredictability of the physical world, where the small details are the difference between success and failure.

  • You are "Fluid": We are a lean team. If you only want to work on a "niche thing" or are uncomfortable helping other teams when they need a boost, this isn't the place for you. We expect you to figure out what you need to get stuff done.

About the Role

As a Warehouse Lead at Blissway, you are critical throughout the operations of our warehouse, production, and project installations. Using a combination of technical and organizational skills, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead production of our WAL-Es, their electronic assemblies, and their testing.

  • Develop and own processes throughout the warehouse and assembly line, including organization of inventory and tools.

  • Develop methods to improve our system testing and quality assurance.

  • Coordinate work requests and maintenance with external contractors and customers.

  • Lead project installation and field maintenance teams throughout the nation.

You will enjoy this role if you...

  • Are smart, hard working, and care about the work that you do. You like a challenge.

  • Have an incredible eye for detail and organization. From electronic assembly to inventory management, the details will make or break the project.

  • Can navigate a computer extremely well. You’ll be expected to work through different software programs and develop your own spreadsheets and tools.

  • Take ownership of projects and put in the necessary time to meet deadlines. A recent company survey showed that the team is averaging 50 hours to get their tasks done, with this role specifically requiring overnight shifts and support.

  • Excel at solving hard problems and take full ownership. We expect you to figure out what you need to get stuff done.

  • Flexible to help all areas of the company when other teams need a boost. Usually this is a great opportunity to learn and get exposure to new things. If you are uncomfortable with the idea of fluid responsibilities, this will not be a good fit.

  • Investing in Your Future: 401(k) matching up to 4%.

  • Peace of Mind: Transparent compensation. Company-sponsored life & disability insurance.

  • Continuous Learning: Tuition reimbursement for courses, programs, and conferences that sharpen your craft.
