TLDR

The role involves a variety of tasks including verifying purchase requisitions, preparing purchase orders, and effectively utilizing forklifts to manage inventory.

  • Key Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to the master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.
    • Daily competent use of forklift and sky tracks.
    • Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.
    • Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and prices; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
    • Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
    • Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
    • Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
    • In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined, the successful candidate may be expected to take on other tasks and assignments as required, including but not limited to duties outside the typical scope of the role to support overall team operations and organizational needs. Flexibility and adaptability to evolving job demands are essential.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Education Details
