Warehouse and Logistics Operative FTC

Are you an experienced Warehouse professional with a looking for a new opportunity? If so, we want you to be part of our dynamic and growing team! We’re looking for a Warehouse and Logistics Operative to join our team.

This role is a 6 month fixed term contract, with the potential to become a permeant role at the end of the 6 month contract.

What the role is about:

  • To process and record all incoming and outbound goods in a professional, accurate and timely manner using the company tools provided.   
  • To communicate with internal and external customers in a professional manner 
  • To ensure safe delivery and collection of Service express and customer equipment/tape media within required time scales 
  • Liaise with the workshop for testing and kit requirements for engineering calls, global and part sales and Procurement for parts purchasing.  
  • Maintain and record accurately the movements of all maintenance, off site tape media and managed services assets.  
  • To provide company approved quotations for logistical moves and destruction. 
  • Be competent in driving logistical vehicles in and out the country 

What you’ll do:

  • Affectively be able to book stock in and out of the system accurately.   
  • To conduct general housekeeping of warehouse/stores areas as required 
  • To record and fulfil Engineers requirements within given timescales, correctly identifying items in stock whenever possible 
  • Ensure engineer and customer requirements are shipped out safely and in the suggested time scales.   
  • Inform purchasing of any non-stock items as soon as possible and maintain communication with the engineer on the request.  
  • Be able to complete the task of putting away stock into the stores accurately and neatly for future use.  
  • To perform stock cycle counts as required. 
  • Be able to assist with any warehouse and logistical move/delivery and collection requirements as required 
  • Have a responsibility in the house keeping of the logistics/stores and media areas.  
  • To always maintain a high standard of communication with internal and external customers. 
  • To demonstrate awareness and consideration of risks and impacts to Information/Data Security.  
  • Ensure part sale requirements are shipped out safely and in the suggested time scales and on the advised account and courier.   
  • To continually seek opportunities for improving processes.  
  • Ensuring RMA quantities are kept on top of liaising with current suppliers over deliveries/collections.  
  • Ensure all transport requirements are completed in a professional and timely manner.  
  • Ensure company delivery vehicles are kept up to required legal and visual standard, reporting any defects to the logistics supervisor immediately. Cleanliness and tidiness are required to uphold a great image to our customers  
  • Create a good working relationship with all departments and staff. 
  • To demonstrate Service express values at all times.  
  • To deliver exceptional customer service at all times 

What we’re looking for in you:

 

  • Previous warehouse experience 
  • Competent driver (with clean driving licence) 
  • Effective communication skills. 
  • Excellent Customer service skills 
  • Basic knowledge of word and excel use.  
  • PC literate to enable effective use of Business applications (Training will be given) 
  • Previous experience in warehouse/inventory management systems. 
  • Effective Time management 
  • Prioritisation skills 
  • Ability and willingness to seek further information and understanding when required.  
  • Ability to recognise impact of own role on company performance and customer satisfaction. 
  • An understanding and awareness of Information Security  
  • Trustworthy and reliable 
  • Must be proactive and adaptable to changing requirements 
  • Strong Team Player 
  • Self-motivated 
  • Be able to self-develop and seek ways of improvement.  

What we offer you:

  • Up to £26k base salary (Pro Rata for the 6 month contract) with a potential of converting to Perm at the end of the contract

  • Hours are 9:00-5:30
