About the Success team:

The Success organization at Bubble is responsible for ensuring our users — across a massive, global, long-tail customer base — achieve meaningful outcomes on a complex, powerful product. This includes User Support, Enterprise Customer Support, Community, Product Education, and Operations.

We operate a product-led growth (PLG) motion, where world-class support, scalable education, and a healthy community are critical drivers of adoption, retention, and expansion. A successful community creates growth through word-of-mouth, advocacy, and customer-led learning — and the Success team is at the center of that system. The team works closely with Product, Engineering and Sales to ensure our users receive the support they need short term and long term.

About the Role

As VP of Success, you'll report to the Co-CEO and serve as a member of Bubble's Leadership Team. You'll own the end-to-end customer experience for millions of users while building and continuously evolving scalable, cost-effective systems that balance empathy, quality, and operational rigor.


This role is for a leader who thrives in rapid experimentation. Bubble is actively testing new product features, AI-driven workflows, and go-to-market motions. You'll need to lead through ambiguity with confidence, energize teams and customers through constant iteration, and serve as a trusted source of information even when clarity is evolving. You'll lead a multi-disciplinary Success organization and act as the Voice of the Customer across the company.

This role requires deep empathy for users, comfort operating at large complex scale, agility to pivot quickly based on what's working, and strong partnership with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams.

What You'll Do

Own the customer experience Drive strategy across the full customer lifecycle — onboarding, adoption, expansion, and advocacy. Partner with Product on experimental feature rollouts, manage expectations with vocal user communities, and define pre- vs. post-sales handoffs as Bubble tests new GTM motions.


Lead and scale a high-performing team Lead Customer Success, Enterprise Support, Community, Product Education, and Operations through frequent change. Build a culture where experimentation is celebrated, failure is a learning opportunity, and teams stay energized through ambiguity. Hire and develop leaders who thrive in fast-moving environments.


Act as Voice of the Customer Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, actionable product feedback. Help the company make confident decisions even with incomplete data, navigating the tension between vocal user sentiment and strategic direction.

Leverage AI and automation aggressively Continuously ask: how much of this can be automated? Build AI-driven support, self-serve education, and workflow automation that frees your team to focus on high-leverage, human-centered work. Partner with Engineering and Product to experiment with AI agents and scalable success tooling.

Build systems that support iteration Design Bubble's product-led success model as a living system — one that can absorb rapid change without breaking. Test new support motions (community-led, AI chatbot, self-serve), optimize the mix of in-house, BPO, and automation, and collaborate with GTM on conversion experiments.

About You

  • Executive experience in Customer Success, Support, or Community at a fast-moving, product-led company

  • Track record leading through major pivots while maintaining execution velocity

  • Energized by building new ways of working; comfortable with what you don't yet know

  • Creative about AI and automation — experience defining where humans add value vs. where technology should take over

  • Strong systems thinker with deep user empathy and comfort making data-driven cost/quality tradeoffs

  • Experience partnering with Product on beta/experimental releases and navigating vocal user communities

  • Executive presence with the ability to influence across functions during periods of uncertainty

  • Background transitioning from Product into Success is a strong plus

Compensation:

We offer competitive compensation aligned to tier one markets. Our estimated salary for this role at Bubble ranges from $250,000 to $300,000. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.

Location:

For this role, Bubble is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US and are within the New York City metro area.

We prefer hiring people within commuting distance of our NYC office because we value getting together in person regularly. For those who enjoy working from our Manhattan office on a more regular basis, we offer catered lunches, and happy hours, among other fun perks.
