VP Strategy (m/f/d)

Deezer is at an exciting stage of its development, with a very solid product, a strong position in its home market (France) and in Brazil, several large B2B deals signed to open new markets (RTL in Germany and Sonos in the USA), and having listed on Euronext.
Deezer executing its new strategy to deliver profitable growth in 2025. 

In this context, we’re looking for the VP Strategy to assist the Chief Strategy Officer and actively collaborate with the CEO, the C-suite team and the Board to drive the corporate strategy.  

What you will do 

As a trusted partner to the CEO and Executive committee and in a team of two people, you will:

  • Track the execution of strategic plan and reassess and adapt it when required, in close collaboration with the strategic pillar owners (ExCo members) and the CEO
  • Drive and deliver strategic initiatives (e.g., deployment of new activities, product features enrichment), from ideation to delivery : to do so you will animate cross functional teams. 
  • Conduct analysis of external opportunities (M&A, business partnerships)
  • Support the CEO on strategic topics (Board presentations, Investor relations, Adhoc analyses, etc)
  • Be a thought partner for Executive Committee members for ad-hoc topics within their scope

This role is perfect for a person with:

  • 6-8 years of experience in well-known international consulting firms (Senior Project Leader or Junior Partner level)
  • Outstanding problem solving skills (structuration, analytical, etc.)
  • Proven leadership by influence
  • Entrepreneurship and ability to drive projects outside of their comfort zone, with ability to “get their hands dirty”
  • Great interpersonal skills: your interlocutors will be across all functions and seniorities in the company
  • Collaborative and team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication, in English and in French
  • Experience with Media and Tech ecosystem is a strong plus, but not mandatory
