Accountabilities:

  • Define and execute software engineering strategy across web, mobile, and API platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with healthcare data standards.
  • Lead a global engineering organization, including full-time staff and contractors, to deliver high-quality, intelligent products.
  • Drive adoption of modern development practices such as CI/CD, progressive delivery, feature flagging, and AI-driven development testing.
  • Partner with Product, Data, and Security teams to integrate AI capabilities and ensure secure, compliant application delivery.
  • Represent software engineering in executive discussions, presenting progress, outcomes, and innovation roadmaps to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee mobile application development, including native and cross-platform applications, ensuring seamless user experiences and compliance with privacy standards.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years managing technology operations, software engineering teams, and customer-facing solutions.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare or regulated environments with focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Proven experience leading global, distributed teams and managing both in-house and outsourced solutions.
  • Strong executive presence, communication, and customer engagement skills.
  • Expertise in modern software engineering practices, AI-accelerated development, and agile delivery frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Computer Science, Business, or related field); Master’s degree highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic vision into actionable engineering initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
