POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

The role of VP Production Manager is a hybrid position splitting time between office, set and remote to fulfill the role’s obligations. The VP PM will execute project decisions made by the site or project Producer, along with tasks delegated by the Executive Management Team. The VP PM is responsible for preparing detailed reporting and schedules for a given project, determining project resource requirements, establishing third-party requirements (such as equipment rentals, specialists or catering), securing permits and contracts, collaborating with stage management and preserving budget allocation and delivery timelines. During an active project, the VP PM is responsible for daily progress reporting to flag risks or deviations in the budget and/or schedule.

 

This role is pivotal to delivering consistently with the highest levels of quality assurance. The VP PM is imperative to the efficiency of projects and the efficacy of crew deliverables maintaining the credibility and reputation of PXO Clara.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead project-based communication ensuring information is delivered clearly and effectively, tasks are prioritized, and resources allocated appropriately.
  • Schedule and facilitate consistent project meetings with well-defined agendas driving progress and securing clear execution plans for delivery.
  • Collaborate within internal Producers and Department Managers within RTD, VAD, DevOps, AV and Procurement to maintain project deliverables and communication.
  • Secure resources with global operations managers, technical managers and department managers adapting as necessary to meet project needs.
  • Track and report schedules, budget estimates, and key performance indicators (KPI) highlighting risks, issues and opportunities within a given project.
  • Act as a central point of contact for day-to-day communications with external project Producers or Managers.
  • Anticipate and address issues or challenges during the planning and execution of projects to identify workflow adjustments.
  • Keep accurate records of project activities, including progress reports and documentation of decisions made throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain a project culture founded on encouragement, individual growth and mission.
  • Track project expenses against approved budgets, cost reporting, and early identification of budget overruns.
  • Coordinate with Stage Management, Safety officers, and on-site technicians to verify compliance with safety, regulatory, and site-specific requirements, escalating identified risks or deviations as required.
  • Manage scope changes by documenting change requests, assessing impact on budget and schedule, and escalating for approval prior to execution.
  • Oversee third-party vendor performance, contracts, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with agreed scopes, timelines, and budgets..
