What You Will Do
As the Vice President, Procurement, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, execution and a multi-year strategy for Chomps’ Procurement organization. This role will lead and deploy category-specific procurement strategies including growth, enterprise value creation, and innovation support for $400M+ spend portfolio across all direct categories as the initial focus including protein, packaging, and raw materials. In the future, you will have an opportunity to develop the business case to expand our Procurement scope further into indirect categories. You'll be entrusted to lead and develop a team of Procurement professionals to enhance and diversify our supplier base and drive performance. This role will be a key leader within Chomps’ broader Operations organization, and will act as a senior leader for the Company. This leader will help further develop the Procurement function as it continues to support Chomps’ significant growth within the protein snacking category.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute a 3+ year Procurement roadmap aligned with Chomps’ long-range growth plan to become a $1B+ brand.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the high-performing Procurement team, ensuring continuous development and alignment with Brand/Company goals.
- Foster a culture and commitment to food safety and quality throughout the Procurement organization and our suppliers to support Chomps’ Mission and Vision.

Scale and diversify the supplier base to support significant volume growth while ensuring service reliability, redundancy, and business continuity.
- Lead long-range planning for protein supply, aligning future sourcing needs with company growth forecasts, new product innovation, and multi-facility manufacturing expansion.
- Build senior leadership relationships and drive mutually beneficial performance with all strategic suppliers, and support the Procurement team through category management and industry evaluation best practices, regular supplier conversations, supplier scorecards, formal quarterly business reviews, and top-to-top meetings.
- Set strategies and implement best practices for contract negotiations for suppliers, and serve as a contract negotiation Center of Excellence to support Procurement-owned suppliers, but also be a resource for Manufacturing and Logistics teams.

Collaborate with FSQA, Manufacturing, R&D, Planning, Inventory Control, Commercialization, and Productivity teams to align on business priorities and execution.
- Partner across the enterprise — including Finance, Sales, Marketing, Business Analytics — to ensure Procurement decisions support broader organizational objectives.
- Assess and quantify organizational readiness and savings opportunity for, and build out an indirect Procurement program for Chomps for 2027+ including categories such as transportation, Equipment OEMs, T&E, office space/supplies, IT, A&M, consulting.
- Demonstrate an ability to be a functional Procurement senior leader to serve as the company’s subject-matter expert in sourcing, with depth in protein sourcing, ensuring optimal supplier mix, pricing models, and contract mechanisms to maintain competitive advantage, while also being a consumer-driven leader within Chomps by deeply understanding commercial strategies to best serve
- Lead team to deliver rapid results in a fast-paced and fast-growth environment, balancing strategy with execution.
Who You Are

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Food Science, Agriculture or a related field with a minimum of 10+ years of experience
- Prior experience in protein/meat industry including beef, multi-category ownership beyond meat (ingredients, packaging), and proven experience in a senior leadership role within a large-scale food organization are required
- Outstanding executive communication (both verbal and written) and relationship management skills
- Large team leadership skills with the ability to drive change and foster collaboration, while developing and empowering high-performance teams
- Ability to influence across multiple functional teams
- Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
- Experience working in or with CoMan/third-party manufacturing partners to understand impact of raw materials in manufacturing environments
- Proven experience in dynamic domestic and global commodity markets, including commodity index driven pricing algorithms, commodity forecasting, hedging strategies
- Demonstrated experience leading Procurement transformational initiatives, including change management and practical technology implementation experiences (e.g. Materials Requirements Planning [MRP], advanced reporting capabilities, AI) to support the advancement of Procurement processes

Salary Range Opportunity:
- The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $215,000 + 30% annual bonus
Compensation Philosophy & Total Comp:
- Our salary ranges are based on verified market data and our philosophy of paying competitively for our size and industry
- Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company
- In addition to base salary, full-time team members receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K 6% match, and monthly reimbursements for wellness and home office.
