VP of Strategy

Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Strategy Ownership: Lead the development and continued evolution of Lyra’s  global strategy. Define the enterprise growth roadmap, identifying market opportunities, defining best-in-class P&L performance and investment thesis.

  • Business Unit (Vertical) Alignment: Act as a strategic consultant and partner to vertical Presidents spanning our employer, health plan, and health system businesses. Ensure alignment to market demands and responsiveness to competitive threats, while defining how Lyra continues to differentiate in the market.  Partner to develop long term success measures.

  • M&A Strategic Partnership: Partner closely with the Corporate Development lead to provide the strategic 'why' behind potential acquisitions. Define investment theses, evaluate the strategic fit of targets, and design value-creation integration plans. Develop a framework for deciding on build vs buy vs partner strategy.

  • Strategic Planning & Capital Allocation: Own the annual strategic planning process. Collaborate with the SVP and Finance to frame portfolio trade-offs and guide capital allocation across the business.

  • Board & Executive Engagement: Prepare and deliver high-impact strategy materials for the Board of Directors, Executive leadership and Investors. Translate complex market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and internal performance data into clear, actionable strategic recommendations.

  • Competitive Intelligence & Market Entry: Partner with competitive intelligence for the synthesis of market trends, macroeconomic factors, and the competitive landscape. Collaborate with Business Unit Presidents to translate CI into actionable product pivots and market entry strategies, ensuring Lyra maintains a superior competitive position globally.

  • Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise strategy, management consulting, or corporate development within high-growth, complex environments.

  • A growth mindset coupled with the discipline to track and adjust ensuring strategic bets translate into scalable, profitable platforms.

  • Proven track record of defining and leading enterprise-wide strategy in a multi-line business or matrixed organization.

  • Exceptional ability to influence and partner across multiple stakeholders.

  • Financial fluency; ability to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and detailed unit economics/M&A modeling.

  • Executive presence and board-level communication skills; ability to synthesize complex data into compelling narratives.

  • Industry expertise in Employer Benefits, Healthcare Services, Digital Health, or Payer markets is highly preferred.

  • MBA preferred.
