We offer a global, secure, and compliant SaaS (software-as-a-service) solution that seamlessly aggregates, stores, and analyzes medical imaging data, enhancing efficiency and enabling collaboration in clinical research and clinical trials.

The QMENTA team includes PhDs with extensive expertise in medical image management and analysis for CNS diseases, as well as other parts of the body. We work with some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, partner with leading CROs, and collaborate with innovative biotech companies - all sharing a common need to execute their trials perfectly.

Position Overview

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on VP of Finance to join our fast-growing startup. The ideal candidate will have strong experience leading financial activities in high-growth environments, direct involvement in Series A and Series B fundraising rounds, and a solid background in U.S.& Spanish finance and tax matters.

Experience in the healthtech or healthcare sector is highly preferred, as it will help navigate industry-specific requirements, pricing models, and compliance considerations.

This role will play a key part in shaping our financial strategy, supporting our fundraising efforts, and building scalable financial operations as the company enters its next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance & Fundraising

• Lead financial strategy for our  current and upcoming investment  rounds (Series A and B)  and future capital events.
  

• Build and own investor-ready financial models and long-term projections to support investor discussions and strategic-decision making.

• Prepare financial materials, data rooms, and updates for investors.

• Foster strong relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions.
  
  

 Financial Management, Business Performance and Reporting

• Oversee accounting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and monthly/quarterly financial reporting and optimize key business KPIs and metrics: CAC, gross margin, payback periods….

• Implement dashboards and systems that provide insights into unit economics and revenue performance.

• Ensure accuracy,internal controls and compliance with the financial and regulatory requirements
  
  

Operational Excellence

• Support pricing strategy, monetization models, and market expansion.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to guide resource allocation and operational decisions.

• Improve financial efficiency through process optimization and cost-management initiatives.
  
  

Leadership

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team as the company grows.

• Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team.

• Contribute to company-wide planning and goal-setting.
  
  

Healthcare Industry Expertise (Preferred)

• Understand financial dynamics specific to healthtech or healthcare environments.

• Support compliance and financial implications related to healthcare regulations (HIPAA, data security, reimbursement models, or clinical operations—depending on your context).

• Guide pricing, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies influenced by healthcare stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of finance experience, ideally within SaaS or subscription-based businesses.

• Based in Barcelona

• Proven experience leading fundraising efforts in startups or high-growth companies.

• Proven experience leading Series A and Series B fundraising processes.

• Strong experience in U.S. and Spanish corporate finance and tax matters (mandatory).

• Experience in the healthtech/healthcare sector is strongly preferred, but not mandatory.

• Successful track record building financial processes and teams in scaling environments.

• Excellent strategic-thinking, analytical, and communication skills.

• CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
