What is this role about?

As VP of Engineering, you’ll strive towards clarity that allows people to problem solve independently, keep everyone towards high quality standards and challenge solutions on pragmatism and simplicity. You’ll carry a loud voice when it comes to technology and users, and don’t shy away from opinions about the business. You’ll also be a member of the Product Leadership team, building one of the strongest product engineering teams on the planet (It's not an exaggeration ;)).

Your main responsibilities will be:

Take ownership and continuously improve all aspects of engineering: speed, effectiveness, quality, and impact
Hire, coach and support product-driven engineering teams, making sure that they have the clarity and courage to make decisions for their products.
Drive excellence in Internal IT, Security and Site Reliability Engineering as part of your team.
Together with the Chief Architect, define the technical roadmap and ensure it’s known and implemented (tied to company short-term and strategic priorities, risks, and opportunities)
As part of Product Leadership, build a product & engineering organization to be proud of. As you’ll be joining early, there’s still a lot of room to be opinionated and make it in your own image.

What you’ll bring:

7+ years of experience in leading engineering teams
Strong understanding of software engineering (code quality, continuous deployment, databases, cloud)
Product-driven and with previous experience in a fast-growing product company.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Bonus if you have previous experience

In a regulated industry. Preferably Finance or Credit.
Building mobile products.
Applying agentic coding practices.
