The Voice Contributor supports the creation of high-quality Text-to-Speech (TTS) datasets by recording pre-scripted text in their native language (Luhya,Gusii,Kamba,Somali) under controlled studio conditions. The consultant provides clear, natural, and consistent speech recordings that meet linguistic and technical standards to be used in the development of AI-based TTS technologies.

Education: Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification.
Language Proficiency: Native fluency in the target language or dialect, with clear, natural, and consistent pronunciation. (Luhya, Gusii, Kamba, Somali)
Experience:

  • Prior experience in voice recording, narration, broadcasting, or performing arts is desirable.
  • Familiarity with microphone use, recording environments, or text reading for audio purposes is an advantage.
  • Entry-level candidates demonstrating strong vocal clarity, articulation, and ability to take direction effectively will also be considered.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of studio recording etiquette, background noise control, and sound quality principles.
