Zeta is looking for a Social Media Visual Designer who blends design, animation, and video editing to create high-impact visual content for social platforms. This role is perfect for a visual storyteller who can take raw footage, ideas, or briefs and turn them into scroll-stopping, platform-optimized content that aligns with brand guidelines and marketing goals.

You’ll be responsible for designing, animating, and editing content across channels like Instagram and LinkedIn, and other emerging platforms—keeping pace with trends while pushing creative boundaries. You’ll collaborate closely with our Social Media Manager and creative partners to bring our brand, campaigns, and products to the social feeds.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Visual Storytelling

  • Transform ideas and raw assets into polished, engaging social-first content, including social videos, animations, and graphics.
  • Own the full social content production process – from concepting to publish-ready delivery with appropriate timelines.
  • Collaborate with employees on in-office video shoots and content capture.
  • Incorporate feedback efficiently while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Edit short-form and long-form video content for social platforms by trimming and assembling footage, adding music, sound effects, or any necessary text-on-screen, color-correcting, and exporting in platform-ready formats.
  • Design and produce 2D (and occasionally 3D) animations, motion graphics, and kinetic typography.
  • Adapt content for different platforms, formats, aspect ratios, and best practices.
  • Ensure visuals align with current social trends while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Stay current on social media trends, video styles, animation techniques, and emerging tools, proactively applying new ideas to keep content fresh and relevant.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Technical & Software Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially:
    • Premiere Pro
    • After Effects
    • Photoshop
    • Illustrator
    • Figma
  • Strong understanding of video editing workflows, motion graphics, color grading, sound design, and export/compression settings
  • Comfortable in social-native platforms like Canva, CapCut and Instagram

Creative Skills

  • Strong visual storytelling and design sensibility
  • Solid understanding of animation principles and motion design
  • High attention to detail with a passion for crafting polished visuals

Soft Skills

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and meeting tight deadlines

What You’ll Do Day to Day

You’ll act as a visual storyteller for the brand, turning raw clips and concepts into social-ready content. From animating graphics to editing videos that feel native to each platform, you’ll ensure every post is engaging, on-brand, and optimized for maximum impact.

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing for paid social ads and performance-driven content
  • Familiarity with 3D tools (Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar)
  • Experience with social-first design systems or content frameworks
  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics and how creative impacts performance
  • Illustration skills or experience creating custom graphic assets
  • Ability to shoot or capture original video or photo content
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency or in-house marketing team
  • Strong personal interest in social platforms, creators, and digital culture

SALARY RANGE

The compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000.00, depending on location and experience.
