Kapwing, a leading platform for video content creation, is seeking a passionate Social Media Marketing Intern to generate content for its social channels, which have over 250,000 combined followers, including YouTube. Even though we’re an engineering-heavy tech company, we’re building tools for creative professionals, which means content creation and storytelling are at the heart of everything we do.
We’re looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern to help define and grow Kapwing’s brand across social platforms like LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube Shorts. This role is part creative, part strategic: you'll take ownership of our social footprint, help establish a consistent posting rhythm, and focus on publishing engaging, short-form content that captures the evolution of Kapwing’s editor studio and how creators can use it.
You’ll be repurposing blog posts, tools pages, and company updates into social videos, while also helping schedule original content — videos, graphics, and social-friendly assets — to support product launches and marketing campaigns.
This internship reports directly to Kapwing’s Head of Content and offers the chance to collaborate with a growing team of creatives. You’ll gain hands-on experience in video production, digital storytelling, and social media strategy — all within a fast-moving, collaborative startup environment. The Internship is paid.
Responsibilities
Work with Product Managers to ensure new Kapwing products have effective video marketing across social channels - Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X.
Create short-form videos from concept to publication — pitch ideas, write scripts, film, edit, and publish content that helps creators navigate the evolving digital media landscape, primarily for Instagram and TikTok
Collaborate with the Content Marketing team to shape Kapwing's overarching social media strategy, exploring new mediums to expand our reach.
Support the affiliate program: Reach influencers on Instagram and YouTube to spread the word (may include interviews and case studies)
Announce select company and industry updates on LinkedIn
Pitch Resources ideas centered around your experience, learnings, and growth of Kapwing’s social media channels
Preferred Skills
Eager to learn about how tech companies grow and contribute to the startup hustle
1-2 years of experience with video editing and/or social media creation
Digitally savvy: Able to use the Kapwing webtools and navigate technical requirements, including markdown, screenshotting, and generative AI tools. Eager to learn new technologies.
Experience growing a social media channel (personal or professional): Familiar with social media channels like Instagram, YouTube, X, Snap, etc.
Creative: Bring fresh ideas and perspective for how we might generate buzz around Kapwing
