We're looking for a skilled and fast Video Editor to help create engaging short-form Reels and long-form YouTube videos for a growing personal brand in the digital agency space.

We’re currently re-branding and plan to make a big push on content. Your work will be seen by hundreds of thousands of people each month via organic and paid media. If you want to be part of a growing team that is passionate about content - this is for you.

This is a fully remote position, and you must have your own editing setup.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Primary: Editing short-form content to be turned into Reels (30–60 seconds) for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts (same video, different outputs) 

  • Currently there is a video editor specifically for YouTube, you may work with them when there is a backlog of content

  • Adding captions that emphasize key words and ideas for social media impact

  • Applying a strong sense of rhythm, timing, and storytelling

  • Delivering a high volume of content efficiently and quickly (you’re quick and polished)

  • Cadence of deliverables: 

  • We are looking for up to 20+ Reels/short-form content pieces per week (sub 1-min)

    1. Two (2) long form YouTube videos per week. (15-25 min)


Requirements

Must-Have Skills:

  • Proficiency in editing software - please include your preferences.

  • Experience or willing to learn the ins and outs of Riverside for initial video content production (can use it in conjunction with other software)

  • We will tag or clip different section of the videos from client calls that need to be pulled out and put together into short clips from social media

  • Proven experience editing content for social media (show us your best work!)

  • Strong grasp of hooks, pacing, and retention strategies

  • The ability to re-cut video content to make it higher performing

  • Fluent in English with strong contextual awareness

  • Must be able to add our source b-roll to be edited into clips

  • Strong understanding of new AI tools and how to use them for video production 

  • Ability to work independently and make smart editing choices

  • Communication via Slack and email with our team 

  • Your own computer and software capable of high-quality video editing

You must be able to produce content quickly. Understanding that social media needs content that is timely and punchy. We are looking for short-form videos that need minimal edits to start with the ability to scale to more edits over time. 

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Proficiency in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere

  • Experience editing for thought leaders, creators, or agency content

  • Experience working with other social media teams

  • Experience working with other North American businesses timezones and culture 


This role will liaise directly with the social media manager for content production schedules and timing.
