Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Video Editor (Mid to Senior Level) to join our team on a consultancy contract (maternity cover). The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of storytelling, and the technical proficiency to produce high-quality video content. You will be responsible for editing video content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and marketing campaigns. This role requires a creative individual who can work independently and collaboratively to meet project goals and deadlines during the maternity cover period.
Key Responsibilities:
Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, engaging, and visually appealing videos for various platforms
Storytelling: Craft compelling narratives that align with our brand and messaging goals.
Collaboration: Work closely with the creative team, including directors, producers, and graphic designers, to ensure the final product meets the project’s vision and objectives.
Technical Proficiency: Utilize advanced editing techniques, color correction, sound design, and motion graphics to enhance video quality.
Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
Content Optimization: Adapt and optimize videos for different platforms and formats, ensuring high quality and performance across all channels.
Feedback Incorporation: Receive and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve video content.
Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends and new editing technologies to continuously improve video content and processes.
Requirements
Experience: 3-7 years of professional video editing experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of projects and styles, in a similar industry (advertising, entertainment, film...)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong understanding of color grading, audio editing, and motion graphics.
- Experience with After Effects and other motion graphics software is a plus.
- Familiarity with social media trends and video content best practices for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency in all video content.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with team members.
Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
