Summary:

Responsible for editing innovative, on-brief videos for clients, The Video Editor works with the Director and/or Writer to help inform the treatment from a post perspective and determines any external resources (graphics/sound/colour etc) required for the video. During the editing process, the Editor ensures the creation of a final product that is visually stunning and meets the objectives of the campaign.


Required Experience:

  • Excellent technical skills and a command of all aspects of post-production including: editing, basic colour grading, format conversion, encoding, sound sweetening, mastering and media management
  • Diverse creative styles and an ability to bring to life a director’s or writer's vision
  • Expert knowledge of Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Davinci Resolve
  • Experience in design, motion graphics and 3D animation (motion graphics experience)


Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with producers and directors to meet specific project goals
  • Editing to include sound effects, dialogue, music and other elements
  • Selecting shots suitable to the storyline which follow the defined project strategy
  • Developing motion graphic effects
  • Managing server + archiving all in-house client files
  • Developing innovative post-production models for videos
  • Sourcing music & sound effects
  • Effectively assess project estimates regarding editing for producer
  • Meticulously review all work for errors prior to turning in work for approval
  • Be a collaborator and self-motivator who welcomes feedback and finds ways to remain engaged and motivated
