Video Editor for Short-Form Content Golf Media (Remote)

Role Summary

We are looking for a Video Editor to transform long-form interview content into engaging short-form videos for social media. You will edit 5–10 minute interview recordings into compelling 2–7 minute clips optimized for platforms like Instagram reels. This role requires strong storytelling instincts, clean editing execution, and an understanding of sports preferably golf to ensure contextually sharp cuts and hooks.

Responsibilities

• Edit 50–90 short-form video clips per month from 5–10 minute interview recordings
• Identify strong hooks and highlight moments from interview content
• Add dynamic on-screen text, captions, pop-ups, and attention-grabbing overlays
• Maintain fast pacing and clean visual structure suitable for Reels-style content
• Ensure content aligns with brand tone and social media trends
• Deliver edits within agreed timelines

Requirements

• Proven experience editing short-form social media content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
• Strong understanding of pacing, hooks, and retention-focused editing
• Experience adding captions, subtitles, animated text, and graphic overlays
• Familiarity with sports content; golf knowledge strongly preferred
• Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup
• Availability for 2 hours of daily overlap between 9:00–11:00 AM CST

Additional Requirement – Work Commitment

• This is a full-time, exclusive role.
• Candidates must not be engaged in other full-time or conflicting part-time employment.
• You must be able to dedicate your full professional capacity to this role.

Assessment process

Shortlisted candidates will complete a technical test using a provided interview video and create a short-form reel based on brand references.
