Video Asset Coordinator (Temporary)

Note: This position is a 6-month temporary position, with potential to extend beyond the initial term.

The Video Asset Coordinator is responsible for managing accurate inventory control of assets through established processes, including the detailed identification, organization and cataloging of professional audio/video masters, production elements and related broadcast media materials in a physical storage environment. 

  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate resource allocation for daily workflow and focus on projects based on business needs 
  • Interface with internal and external parties to support general project initiatives 
  • Effectively communicate with clients both written/verbal 
  • Must be able to accurately assess broadcast advertising materials and translate label or packing slip information into a media library computer system 
  • Inspects the quality and quantity of work performed to ensure high standards are met 
  • Assess customer problems and escalate as applicable; follow up to ensure resolution 
  • Provide recommendations and support management for evolution of the storage services 
  • Data entry, labeling, bar coding, tracking, and cross-referencing inventories within internal database 
  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by manager 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma plus at least 5 years of inventory control and/or market industry experience 
  • Microsoft suite, Word and Excel expertise 
  • Experience in the broadcast media/advertising industry preferred (warehouse/tape vault/broadcast media) 
  • Working knowledge of professional media formats preferred: D1, D2,  D5, D9, HDCAM, DBC, BCSP, DVCAM, MiniDV, DVCPRO, 1”, BCSX, IMX, VHS, S-VHS, ¾”, DAT, DA-88, Audio Cassette, CD, DVD and film 
  • Commitment to excellent customer service 
  • Ability to adapt to a high volume work environment 
  • Ability to work under a strict deadline 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs and be able to climb a rolling ladder/stairs
