Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What You’ll Do 

•    Responsible for leading and coordinating complex technical programs and projects across Archer globally, aligned to key organizational objectives. 
•    Provide thought leadership and guidance to project teams and stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery of impactful initiatives. 
•    Responsible for driving best practices in program management and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. 
•    Responsible for translating technical needs into clear internal action, managing expectations, and ensuring every facet of product delivery is on time and compliant. 
•    Establish and lead the company-wide Program Management Office (PMO), including governance, processes, and operating mechanisms. 
•    Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing organization of program, project, and technical program managers. 
•    Define enterprise program strategies, objectives, priorities, and long-range plans aligned with company goals. 
•    Develop and maintain integrated master schedules for engineering development, product builds, program milestones, and production transition. Identify critical path items, resource needs, dependencies, and major program risks. 
•    Oversee planning and execution of complex programs across hardware, software, systems integration, operations, supply chain, and manufacturing engineering. 
•    Coordinate cross-functional deliverables across engineering, quality, test, operations, supply chain, and business teams. 
•    Collaborate with Business Development, Commercial, and Finance teams to determine production planning, demand forecasting, and go-to-market strategy. 
•    Support complex development life cycles, including readiness for build events, test activities, integration phases, and design freezes. 
•    Ensure alignment to technical, quality, safety, and operational requirements throughout the program lifecycle. 
•    Direct planning for builds, including BOM maturity, long-lead procurement, supplier readiness, and tooling development. 
•    Partner with finance, supply chain, and operations to manage budgets, forecasts, resource plans, and cost tracking. 
•    Develop and manage program-level risk assessments, mitigation plans, and contingency strategies. 
•    Provide structured executive-level reports, dashboards, and status updates for leadership and stakeholders. 
•    Facilitate cross-functional decision-making and ensure alignment across engineering and business organizations. 
•    Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase program predictability, efficiency, and execution maturity. 
•    Ensure all delivery, financial and technical commitments of the project are met. 

Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or related technical field.

Minimum Experience Requirements: Engineering Manager or related occupational job title in which 10 years of experience in program and project management within a complex technical environment and managing enterprise-level programs involving hardware, software, systems integration, and manufacturing engineering was gained.
