Platform Strategy & Vision
Define and drive the long-term platform strategy aligned with company product and business objectives.
Establish a modular, scalable platform architecture that supports current and future products.
Ensure the platform supports interoperability, extensibility, and ecosystem growth.
Lead platform roadmaps across core services, APIs, integrations, and shared capabilities.
Core Platform Capabilities
Own the strategy and development of foundational capabilities including:
Identity, authentication, and access management
Data platform and data services
API platform and developer tools
Integration frameworks and partner connectivity
Workflow and orchestration services
Eventing, messaging, and platform observability
Shared service components used across product lines
Ecosystem & Integrations
Lead the strategy for external integrations and platform partnerships.
Build scalable frameworks for payer, provider, and partner connectivity.
Enable secure, compliant data exchange across the healthcare ecosystem.
Develop an API and integration strategy that supports internal teams and third-party developers.
Platform Governance & Standards
Establish platform design principles, architectural standards, and governance frameworks.
Ensure platform capabilities are reusable, secure, and compliant with healthcare regulations.
Partner with Engineering leadership to enforce scalability, reliability, and performance standards.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Engineering to ensure efficient platform delivery and developer experience.
Collaborate with Product leaders to enable product innovation through platform capabilities.
Work with Clinical, Compliance, and Security teams to ensure regulatory alignment and patient data protection.
Align platform investments with business priorities and growth opportunities.
Team Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing platform product organization.
Develop product managers focused on platform services, APIs, data infrastructure, and integrations.
Create a culture of platform thinking, reuse, and technical excellence.
Other Job Duties

Travel Requirements
Travel up to 10%, including overnight travel
Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Skills
12+ years of experience in product management, platform leadership, or technical product roles
Proven experience building platform products or developer platforms
Experience working closely with engineering organizations building complex systems
Track record of leading cross-organizational platform initiatives
Experience building API platforms, data platforms, or integration ecosystems
Platform mindset – building reusable capabilities rather than point solutions
Systems thinking – understanding complex technical and organizational systems
Strategic influence – aligning multiple product teams to a shared platform vision
Technical fluency – able to partner deeply with engineering and architecture leaders
Execution excellence – delivering scalable infrastructure that accelerates product innovation
Willingness to adopt AI tools responsibly to enhance productivity and innovation in your role
Preferred Experience
Healthcare or healthcare technology experience
Experience with interoperability and data exchange
Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms
Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems
The base salary range for this US-based, full-time, and exempt position is $180,000-210,000/yr, not including variable compensation. An employee’s exact starting salary will be based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, merit, location, and the ability to exemplify the HHAeXchange core values.
