Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop the global procurement strategy, providing leadership and direction for critical procurement programs.
  • Lead a high‑performing group procurement team and guide site‑based teams through strong dotted‑line leadership. Support capability uplift, talent development and career growth.
  • Build and nurture key strategic supplier partnerships, guiding regional teams to adopt consistent relationship practices across the business.
  • Create and implement company‑wide category and sourcing frameworks, including market and supplier analysis. Provide mentoring and training to uplift capability across sites.
  • Lead the development and execution of global contract management principles. Act as escalation point for strategic supplier contracts.
  • Drive initiatives that challenge current processes, unlock value, and reduce total cost of ownership. Develop and embed a Supplier Create Value (SCV) framework.
  • Set and manage the budget for the group procurement function.
  • Build strong relationships up to senior management level, developing engagement plans that support effective communication and decision‑making.
  • Develop standardised reporting tools for spend, contract performance, continuous improvement, and category segmentation. Identify and implement opportunities for automation and optimisation.
  • Establish clear KPIs and performance standards for the global procurement function and align these across site teams.
  • Champion a procurement culture that prioritises supplier safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainability. Ensure safety KPIs and HSE compliance are embedded throughout contract management.
  • Education: Relevant Bachelor’s degree mandatory
  • Experience:
    • 10–15+ years of broad procurement experience at an expert level.
    • 3–6+ years of leadership experience overseeing teams and delivering strategic objectives.
