The Vice President, People Performance & Growth is accountable for shaping how Fortitude Re approaches talent by modernizing the systems, tools, and experiences that underpin how colleague grow, perform, and thrive. As a key member of the Talent Management team, the incumbent leads strategic initiatives across learning, people development and performance, ensuring Fortitude Re has the right capabilities and pipeline for the future. The incumbent will collaborate with other members of the People & Culture team, leaders, and other internal partners to implement and drive adoption of programs and innovations. 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the Enterprise Talent Development Strategy: Design and implement a firm-wide talent development strategy aligned to business priorities enabling success across all business lines.
  • Modernize Talent Processes: Advance performance management and learning frameworks using AI, analytics, and digital platforms.
  • Drive Innovation: Leads the adoption of emerging Talent Management tools and drives experimentation in learning and development.
  • Strengthen Leadership Development: Build a cohesive leadership development ecosystem that enhances capability and succession readiness.
  • Leverage Talent Insights: Establish a talent intelligence framework that provides actionable, data-driven insights to leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Advance Skills-Based Development: Partner with People Partners and leaders to build a skills architecture that enables targeted development, mobility, and internal talent marketplaces.
  • Elevate Learning Experience: Curate personalized, technology-enabled learning experiences that build critical capabilities.
  • Enhance Manager and Colleague Effectiveness: Provide tools and training that improve coaching, performance, and growth conversations.
  • Measure Impact: Define and track KPIs to demonstrate impact on engagement, retention, and performance.
  • People Leadership: Supports the development of team members in talent management, learning, and organizational effectiveness through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and coaching.

 

What You Will Have:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in talent management, learning, or organizational development, ideally within complex, regulated industries.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to anticipate organizational and workforce capability needs based on market trends and align the talent development strategy to advance long-term company objectives.
  • Demonstrated success modernizing talent and learning functions using digital tools, data, and technology.
  • Proven ability to design and execute enterprise-wide initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong change leadership skills with track record of leading adoption of modern talent practices and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Deep familiarity with People & Culture technology trends (AI-driven learning, skills taxonomies, predictive analytics, experience platforms).
  • Advanced analytical skill with ability to use data, behavioral science, and technology to identify and address complex people challenges and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Advanced influencing and collaboration skills to build strong relationships across the firm to drive strategic alignment and shared accountability. Proven ability to lead across functions and at the senior leadership level.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

$165,000$185,000 USD
