The Role  -

As the Vice President, Solution  Engineering - EMEA, you will be responsible for leading and managing the field engineering teams in the EMEA region. You will collaborate closely with sales, product development, and professional services teams to ensure the successful implementation and support of our products/services. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership to the field engineering teams in the EMEA regions, setting and driving high standards for individual and team performance.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical expertise in pre-sales and post-sales activities.
  • Lead the implementation and deployment of our products/services, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and business goals.  The role encompasses both pre- and post-sales responsibilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, serving as a technical advisor and addressing escalated technical issues.
  • Work closely with product development teams to provide feedback on customer requirements and potential product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with professional services teams to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upsell and expansion.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics for the field engineering teams, providing regular updates to executive leadership.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities.
  • Provide leadership in developing and maintaining a knowledge base for field engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on field engineering initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role focused on field engineering or professional services.
  • Deep technical understanding of Data products/services.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in collaborating with sales teams to support pre-sales & post-sales activities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about technical solutions.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
