360insights (Canada) Ltd. (300 King Street in Whitby, Ontario, L1N 4Z4) seeks Vice President, Finance (NOC 00012) to oversee financial strategy, operational scalability, and corporate accounting functions for our team. Optimizing financial operations, the Vice President, Finance will drive financial planning and M&A activities while ensuring strong financial reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This position will include the following duties:
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Lead, supervise and support the Finance team in successfully executing strategic deliverables to achieve organizational growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with FP&A leadership on financial analysis and forecasting, providing meaningful information for decision-making.
- Assess capital allocation and investment strategies to maximize returns and ensure financial sustainability.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and external advisors.
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence, financial structuring for acquisitions and partnerships and post-close integration efforts.
- Identify opportunities for enhanced reporting, cost savings and operational improvements.
Operational Finance & Business Scalability
- Implement a scalable financial infrastructure to support growth, international expansion, and acquisitions, introducing best practices to create a high-performing finance operations function.
- Lead, supervise and innovate with the Finance Operations and Corporate Accounting teams and the teams’ managers to develop and implement processes and workflow improvements via automation, including streamlining and standardizing billing, treasury, expense and reporting functions.
- Delegate assignments to the teams’ managers.
- Champion data integrity of financial related information in various interconnected and disparate systems; identify areas of risk and work cross-functionally to develop and implement solutions, supporting robust data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with Internal Controls to identify and design internal tests and audits on the financial processes to boost operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and deliver more accurate and timely information.
Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Own the financial reporting cadence, ensuring accuracy and rigor of financial results, and serve as a key financial voice explaining both granular financials and broader narratives to stakeholders.
- Drive robust financial reporting capabilities by developing and implementing appropriate revenue and expense tracking methodologies.
- Identify areas of exposure to complex accounting transactions, review, analyze, and interpret these transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards, implementing best practices to reduce exposure.
- Manage and forecast cash flow to support business operations
Tax & Compliance
- Ensure financial and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions (Canada, USA, UK and the EU), including value-added tax and transfer pricing positions.
- Optimize tax structures, treasury functions, and cross-border financial strategies to maximize profitability in a growing and scaling environment.
- Enhance sales tax compliance, implementing software for efficiency where required.
- Own the end-to-end financial audit process, including relationships with external auditors and statutory account preparations.
- Own lender compliance reporting, including covenant forecasting.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional accounting designation outside Canada or in Canada.

Extensive Financial Leadership Experience: at least 7+ years in progressive finance leadership roles at privately held, mid-size technology companies, with M&A and integration experience.

Finance Automation & Operations: A strong track record of leveraging technology and automation to streamline finance operations and controls, preferably with experience in ERP implementations or system optimizations; prior exposure to NetSuite and Salesforce is an asset.

Collaborative Strategic Leadership: Comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders, including C-level executives, Executive and Senior Leadership and cross-functional teams, with an ability to influence at all levels, ensuring financial strategy aligns with business objectives.

Permanent, Full time (40 hrs/wk) @ $200,000 to 215,000.00/yr., plus 25% variable annual bonus. Benefits include Group health, dental, life, AD&D, LTD and 4% RRSP matching.
