Riverbank Animal Hospital is a popular and thriving small animal clinic proudly serving the Grafton community and surrounding areas. We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our busy team and share our passion for pet wellness, urgent care and surgery. Our team has a diverse mix of skills and experience, and we are looking for a nurse who brings positive energy, confident clinical skills and a best-practice approach.

About the Role

You will be involved in all aspects of nursing, including:

  • Welcoming clients and managing smooth patient admissions

  • Preparing patients for surgery and procedures

  • Anaesthetic monitoring, IV catheter placement, blood collection and IV fluids

  • Assisting with radiography, surgery, and dental scaling and polishing

  • Monitoring hospitalised patients, including emergency and critical care cases

  • Assisting vets and nurses during consultations and triage

  • Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient hospital environment

  • Working closely with our Client Care Coordinator to ensure great workflow and communication between front and back of house

  • Supportive vets and clients who genuinely respect and value our nursing team

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (min 2yr post-qualification preferred)

  • Are confident across surgery, hospital and nurse consulting

  • Can work autonomously, take initiative and contribute positively to the team

  • Provide warm, engaging and professional client service

  • If you have experience running Puppy Preschool, this would be a wonderful bonus but not essential
