Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and kennels.
  • Provide compassionate care and handling of animals.
  • Assist with the preparation and administration of medications.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of animals under care.
  • Manage and update patient records accurately.
  • Support in the sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners to provide information and instructions.

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in animal care is a plus.
  • Experience working with animals in a professional setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift and restrain animals.
